In order to keep the Summer Meet thread current, we have now started this thread in which you will find all of the details as we have them to date and the list of members wishing to attend.

Ive just been on the phone to the hotel as the attached file they sent me regarding menu cost etc is corrupt and wont open !!

There sending me it in the post now so i'll get it scanned and post it here in the next couple of days.

We now need people to commit to the day and make their food choices ASAP in order to secure the venue for us.
We will advice ASAP if deposits will be required for the food.

Once confirmed we will be asking you to book your rooms directly with the venue. (Please wait until we confirm here on the board before contacting the venue)

Thanks Barney for sorting out the menu and getting it posted, i'll call the hotel as they didnt seem concerned as to pre ordering food so i'll find out how much they need to know up front.

Dunk has now confirmed this MSOC event with the Hotel.

What you need to do now:

People wanting rooms should book individually with the Hotel using their credit cards.

Hadley Bowling Green Hotel: 01905 620294 (Ask for Karena)

The required rooms as per thread list are provisionally held under the name "Duncan Shaw" which you will need to quote when making your booking.

We would advise you to secure your room booking ASAP with the Hotel, I have just booked mine with them so I can confirm everything is set up and running, over to you guys. A very big thank you to Dunk for all his hard work on our behalf.

Cheers Barney for putting that up and just to add the manageress is Karena so ask to speak to her then there will be no probs as she's who ive dealt with from the start.

Ive made a list of everyones preferance on main meals and will forward to the hotel in the near future when everyones made there choice.

Also theres a double and twin room still available at the hotel so anyone thinking of coming and stopping the night get you finger out and put your names down :D

Im glad nobodys having any probs with booking up as i was a little concerned it would go tits up sooner or later, fingers crossed the food and beer are up to scratch but so far ive only heard good things about the place so we'll see.

Just to add this place is off the beaten track down narrowish country lanes and is quite close to a riding stable so when you get near just take it easy as we dont want to upset the local horsey community.

Just confirmed the meal to be around 5-6 pm, also well done and a personnal thankyou to everyone for booking there rooms up so promptly.

There are still 3 rooms left at the hotel if anyone wants to join in last minute but be quick as these rooms are no longer being held by the hotel.
I shall be sending them our choices of main meal so all it needs is for this rain to bugger off so we can have a good time.

Dunk - I think we are waiting to see what happens with the dyno session before commiting to a time with the pub. If it doesn't happen (which seems most likely) then obviously it's quite open.

Stating to look forward to this now with it drawing closer and the weather being so good, but i guess being England and a bank holiday weekend nothings guaranteed.

I'd put my car on the dyno as well if that makes any differance, i'd actually like to see if it runs ok at 1.35 bar and how much differance that makes to the 1.25 its at now

Im happy where it is now Adam so will leave it alone to be honest. I was just trying to justify putting it on Thors Dyno to make the numbers up if we did the dyno before the summer meet.

Just to clarify, because a few people have asked me, there is no prior meet at Thor in the morning.

The Inn have been informed that we will be turning up from 1pm onwards and will be sitting down for food sometime between 5pm & 6pm.

Could we just remind everyone that the Summer meet venue is set in and around a quiet rural area and we would like to ask everyone to please be mindful of the local community and please drive accordingly and keep the noise to a minimum.

Also the roads and lanes are often used by horse riders, again please bear this in mind when approaching the area.

I was thinking on polishing and claying the car today,but how many rain patches will i drive through on the journey down.

Get some sealant and wax on it and it'll still look good when you arrive.

No matter how much i wax my bumpers they will still look crap lol

Ill head off and get some goodies later and give her a good scrub and autosol my wheels.

Car park at the Hadley Bowling Green is pretty good, just two large bumps on the right hand side of the entrance.

They are about 70-80mm high, so keep left and you should be OK.

Spoke to Karena today and everything is sorted for people to arrive from 1pm onwards.
We are dining around 1 large horseshoe shaped table layout to seat 24.

Martin ive got Luke booked in to join us for the meal which will be approx 6pm ish.
Car park is mainly supra friendly and thanks Martin for your update regarding this. There is also parking to the rear of the hotel which ive not seen so just have a look before hand.

Weather this weekend is looking good at the moment so fingers crossed it stays that way, been a nice sunny day here just a little windy.

This may be a bit late, but perhaps you didn't know that Droitwich Spa has europe's only heated brine lido (yes, that is a heated outdoor brine swimming pool), well worth a visit on Sunday morning - so bring your cossie's.

It is rumoured that swimming in brine cures hangovers, but I've not tested that theory yet !
