Any know where I can get a decent ally handbrake cover ??
the old leather one is looking a little tatty these days and I`d like something to match the Greddy gear knob.. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Seen there are loads of `lax power` stylee ones about, but I`d rather something without carbonfibre or Lots of gay lights built in.
cheers

I'd be interested in this as well - I fitted a nice new shiny knob the other day and would like the handbrake to match.... http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Mark I`m looking at having one made.
Nothing fancy just a replacement for the stock leather one..
probably to match my Greddy gear knob.
I`ll keep you posted.

Don't want to be accused of teaching you to suck eggs, but you have checked the Demon Tweeks catalogue haven't you ?

Fair comment Martin - that's where I've just got my new gear knob from, I'll have a look.
Would still be interested in any custom jobbie that gets made up though...

I guess I could have a go at making one if there was enough interest. How easy is it to take stock unit apart? Never tried http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

no idea how the stock one comes off...
didn`t want to just hack mine off
I assume you cut the binding underneath.
reckon the amount of people with aftermarket gear knobs there should be sufficient interest, at the right price of course http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I'd be in for this too.
Surely we either want a nice leather coated number, or a ti machined one?
I wouldn't want ally or steel because it's very cold to the touch. Ti has a nice warmness to it....
Oh yeah just as a little aside does anybody know where I can get the trd leather gear knob from?
Perhaps Gaz or Kev could replicate something like that for the handbrake with a discreet envy logo on?

have to be leather then as I don`t want anything that`ll clash with the Greddy gear knob. ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

If none of our resident parts guys can supply the TRD gear knob, try Fensport (http://www.fensport.co.uk)
Usually pretty good.

Jason, where did you get the Momo handbrake from?
I emailed Demon Tweeks yesterday after looking on their site but as yet I've got no reply http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Can someone explain about the "sleeve" as well, cos I'm thick http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Chris
Just been in contact with DP Motorsports seeing as Demon Tweeks aren't answering thier emails http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif
Dave Perry said "Yes they do need a sleeve and it is car specific and costs ?1.99 extra . I have to confess even I did not know this and we will amend our site accordingly."
Where'd you get your ?30 cost from?
Looks like I'm gonna be purchasing a new handbrake, sleeve and some pedals quite soon http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Ahhhh....my bad, I thought you were talking about the adapter, don't need the sleeve [leather] I'll leave the Supras cover as standard, or maybe paint it http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

More expense .... damn http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
