The passenger window on my MK4 Supra Import has a small wind deflector, the drivers side one is missing. Toyota wont/dont sell em for imports. whifbitz.co.uk want ?90 + vat for a pair, which I fink is OTT! I cannot find a Supra in a scrap yard, which did not suprise me.
Anyone have ideas where they can be bought?

These are damn rare.

Only thing i can think of is giving JIC a call, see if they have any spares.

Yep I'd go along with Martin there, out of the many Supras I've seen on various meets this year, I've only seen one with the deflectors on them.

How much of a difference do they make to wind noise by the way?

Thanks for the advice. I have emailed JIC to see if they can help. They make quite a difference when driving with the window down, much less noise is heard. The driviers side one will give 2 advantages, 1, obvously noise, 2, when you squirt the water on the windscreen, it should stop most of the ater hitting the drivers side window. Its only a small thing, but thats annoying!!!

The most annoying thing about being a smoker, you have the window down a little, and especially with this weather now, constant water being pushed up the wrong way up the window, and back in, getting you and your fag wet.... http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I did find one for the drivers side, the bloke wanted ?25 but the colour was clear, and im after a Smoked colour

RE smokers having window open a crack. When its raining water gets in and runs down into the power window switch unit causing it to fry. A small matter of 110 quid for a new unit and fitting was a point of argument between myself and the significant. She has also managed to get 4 more fag burns on the seats and carpet which double dog pisses me off but thats another matter. The moral of my tale don't drive with the window open a crack when its raining!! Or buy them deflector thingies, although personally I think they look tacky just like those perspex deflector things stuck on the top of the hatch.

ok.. i'm trying to find out which peice i need for my car... is it these "wind deflectors" or just a rain strip?

it's the black strip that runs round the outside of the door aperture and joins the rear window seal (or looks like it does)

whatever it is, i need a driverside one.

Can you not take a picture of the other side and post that up?

Then highlight the part your after.

according to the toyota microfiche...

its either part # 75551(RH Side) or 75552(LH Side)

i think anyway

Ahhh think i know what you mean. If its black then its just the trim strip not the wind deflectors that others are thinking of.

Have a feeling that the ones on the car i'm breaking are no good.

would they be readily available from toyota UK still then?

Martin F
3rd February 2004, 10:06 AM
Yes they would, but make sure your sitting down when they tell you the price http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

BTW, those numbers you have quotes are not full Toyota part numbers. I can dig these out for you tonight.

Martin F
3rd February 2004, 08:35 PM
Right part numbers are :

75551-14150 for RH side
75552-14150 for LH side

and in the US they are $69.
