Gearbox swap now ive got my car

does any 1 out there know if this is the right box i bought it on ebay for ?51 and it is said to be a 5 speed gearbox for a mk 4 N/A any one with a idea i know it will be a hard job to sort and when i get home i will have to phone a few people to see about getting it fitted also does any 1 know about what other parts i would need for this job

It should be a W58 box if its the correct one, only thing is that's the same manual box as was used in the MKIII Supra as well. Not sure if there's a specific part number for the MKIV box.

Are you attempting an auto to manual conversion on your car ? If so going to need a few more bits http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

yup u guessed it i am going to try and get this auto switched for a manual in my targa top, yeah i know there is a shit load of bits i need i will need to sort these out when i get back from iraq

Just looked this up on the EPC and it should be

33030-1B280 for 9305 to 9605 manufactured boxes
33030-1B310 for 9605 - manufactured boxes

does any one know where the gearbox part number is on the gearbox the bloke i am buying the box off says the only numbers he can find are 17-2 and 15-2 and thats it can, anybody help

Sorry can't help specifically, but maybe get him to take a photo of each side of the gearbox. There should be a tag with all the relevant info.
