So there I am I'm fine, you're all talking about your fancy mods and bits n bobs and I'm thinking I'm fine with my old faithful standard. But the rot has set in and I'm finding myself tempted by your turbos the size of Sweden and your nice paint. It was that blue space ship from Baker street that was the final blow, damn your eyes man.

Anyway the long and short of this is can you friendly folk out there give me a rough idea how much it costs to do a few things. e.g.

Exhaust, seats, bodykit, paintjob and airbag steering wheel. Ooh and a supra keyfob, can i get one of those?

I'm not too concerned about engine malarky at the mo as the cars a bit of a workhorse and i do need some fuel economy. So just need how much it is to do some tarty cosmetic stuff.

I should so be buying a house, I'm sooo weak

Na your not weak you've just got your priorities right, I too have a standard N/A MKIV and would like too improve a few things as u say. I would love too put some leather seats in and improve the dash. I haven't seen any info regarding replacing seats etc so any ideas gratefully received.

Say three hail Mary's to the god of modifications!!!

You guys don't say if you mean to swap stock cloth seats for stock leather seats or for aftermarket seats ?

As for first mod, pound for pound the best one has got to be to ditch the CATs. No negatives apart from you will need to find a friendly MOT tester or replace one of them once a year for the test.

Only other thing to watch out for is that in Jap spec TT's you can over boost, but this can be brought back into line by fitting a restrictor ring.

Speak to any of the main suppliers about a CAT replacement pipe but i'd recommend Chris Wilson on here as i know he usually keeps a few in stock.

I personally would like stock black leather seats, basically a full leather interior. Probably would have been better off looking for a car with it in. ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Chris Wilson suggested having the cloth seats re-covered but although leather does have disadvantages I would personally LOVE all leather ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/spank.gif lol http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Having the stock seats re-trimmed is not a bad idea and that is exactly what JIC used to do.

Last time i needed some leather seats repaired i managed to find a local guy through the yellow pages who was quite good. Try looking up Upholsterers i think it is.

You see thats why i like this site, for the most part you all seem so damn friendly.

Thanks for the cat info Martin and also MAtt for replying.

I was thinking aftermarket seats for fun really, however, would that basically screw the whole electric seat kefuffle

I actually got off my lazy ass and spun through a bunch of links from this site so im better clued about bodykits and paint n stuff, still in the dark about an airbag wheel though, any thoughts?

I'd also like to thank Leon at JPS Motorsport in delightful Milton Keynes for doing such a dandy job on my service.

What a bunch of friendly people.

Also doesn't ditching the cats improve fuel economy?
