I noticed today, that when i pull the handle on the side of the chair, the chair no longer springs forward. It only folds forward. Just wondering if there's anyone thats come across this problem, before i rip the chair apart.

thanks!

I have also noticed recently that my passenger does not spring forward. i'm going to have a look at mine this weekend. i think they work on a cable pully basis, perhaps one of these cables has snapped? Anyway i will let you know, if you haven't already done it.

Cheers. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/buttrock.gif

Sorted. The seat does work on a cable pully mech, and at the end of the cable is a hook which had snapped. Anyway rather than put money in toyota's pockets, i improvised using a brake cable, You know like the ones you used to get on the B.M.X's when you were a kid. and an electrical block connector. Works Great . Dont know if you will be able to see these pictures, could send you full size pics if you like, but you will have to give me your e-mail address. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/buttrock.gif

Did you take the seat out? is it not possible to click the pincer like thing back in?

No problem.
Yeh seat needs to come out i'm affraid. the pincer type piece has actually snapped , it should form a loop which hooks over the post part. Didn't take long anyway, only about half an hour.
