I've finally overcome my phobia of wires and feel ready to install my RSM and G-Sensor, mainly because I've realised it splices into the same places as my AVC-R so I should be able to use that as a guide http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Anyway the only bit I'm wondering about at this stage is the G-Sensor.

It has a number of wires with a small plug on the end, these go into the bottom of the RSM unit itself, that's not a problem. In addition to these there are 3 short wires coming out of the sensor, a purple one, a white and a black.

My install instructions are in Japanese:

http://www.megaboost.co.uk/supra/mine/apexi-rsm/g-sensor.jpg

So firstly can anyone read that?

If not can someone confirm my thoughts that these wires need to splice into the same coloured wires on the RSM harness?

The instructions with the RSM are english but only explains the need to put 4 wires into the ECU - Speed (Purple), Ground (Black), RPM (Yellow) and IG Power (Red) - this leaves 4 wires on the RSM harness - pink, white, blue and grey.

So if I wire the G-Sensor up to the purple, white and black as I suspect that still leaves pink, blue and grey - these are indicated to be:

Pink - Speed 1 Output
Blue - Speed 2 Output
Grey - Another Output?

I know you can set the RSM up to output if speed or RPM reaches a certain point (I'm hoping to set up an LED on the dash as a rev warning light with one of these) but that still leaves one unaccounted for.

Can anyone advise on any aspect of what I've just rambled on about or point me to an idiots guide in English?

You know what, you've confused me.

Nah, not really but i have a suggestion. Install everything and don't connect these additional wires on the G sensor to anything else. If it all works then your all done.

Don't assume they connect to the same colour wires on the actual RSM,

For the record it's all in and working now - the live and ground wires on the RSM and AVC-R are the same but the speed and RPM ones are different.

The G-Sensor just plugs in to the bottom of the unit, the 3 extra wires are just outputs for use with flashing lights, relays etc.

1.14 lateral G on the way to work this morning, I wasn't even trying http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
