Right, found my new front bumer, but having never spoken to a body-shop before think I'll ask for advice.

I assume they match the kit up and get it to fit ok? then they paint it and apply it to the car, or do they apply it to the car and then respray the whole lot?

God, i'm a newb!

You got it.

Should do a trial fit and see if it needs any trimming and once they are happy with it they will prep and spray it.

Which front bumper are you going for ?

Cheers Martin.

I *wanted* the Bomex, but now that Whifbitz has a TRD style bonnet up for grabs, im going for a cheaper replica veilside with the TRD bonnet.

Cheesy, overdone , but easily replacable at a later date.

It's not always wise to use body kit and fit in the same sentence.

Be very careful when purchasing body kits, even an original Vielside kit will take a bodyshop many hours to look right, a knock off will probably take a lot longer and maybe never look right.

all comes down to the quality of the bodyshop, as the sideskirts I bought fit so badly you would have thought they were for a different car when I test fitted them.

I found a good bodyshop and they fit lit OEM toyota ones now, with all the fit lines matching the rest of the car and not a rivet used.

The only bumper I`ve ever seen just `drop on` was the stillen one which is made from urethane opposed to glassfibre.

LOL, just found the bodykits section on the whifbitz site... I can get my Bomex front after all. And even funnier, ive bid more on ebay for the TRD bonnet than I could of bought it brand new!

Chris, what bodykit does your car have? It looks like and aero, yes?

I'm still a supra owner 'in waiting' but I can't decide what the best bodykit is. What's the most popular?

It looks great, bit worried about that low front lip though.

What about your alloys, what are they?

Sorry to be a copycat but I'm scavenging ideas. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Whifbitz front bumpers look pretty mean. Just need a nice big FMIC to fill that space. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Just come across this body kit that i have never seen before. Curve (http://supra.curve-ad.com/photo.html)

yep the front lip catches on stuff, but unlike an aftermarket bumper, if it cracks or needs repainted I can run about without it for a while...

Wheels are Dazz Matiz`s which aren`t made any more..

Have you lowered your car Chris? if so, did you just replace the springs - and have much have you dropped it ?

yeah it`s running Eibach springs and AGX adjustable shocks.

something like an inch front and back lower.
