hey folks, after a bit of advice...

lastnight driving on a motorway i was stuck behind a van, great. when he eventually moved i belted it, it kicked down and the revs were up at 5750+, no boost. is this because there was no time to spool? or is there something wrong? as soon as it changed up again all was fine and i was back on boost.

i have no idea, please excuse the ignorance!

How do you know there was no boost ?

Are you sure it couldn't of been the car being a little lethargic because of the warm weather at the moment.

It didnt give the thrust it usually does which is why i thought there was no boost and as for the warm weather, as soon as it changed up and the revs calmed down it spooloed up fine.

i have driven 200+ miles since and not a thing has seemed out of the ordinary so i guess it was a blip or me expecting more

off subject, any news on that photo shoot?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif

Could have been a intermitant issue with the boost, it has been known and routed back to the speed converter. Keep an eye on it and see if it happens again,

Will call you tomorrow about photo shoot, had a long weekend and been busy all weekend.

Mine does this occasionaly when you are at high revs (3500) and not getting boost ( light throttle ), then you floor it.

The ECU seems to get confused a bit, when it has to think about doing a kickdown, regulating the pressure for the no1 turbo, and also prepare for the increase into TT mode.

hey , c'mon for a 10 year old CPU, what more do you expect? the Speed and stability of a P90 running Win 98 http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
