Just installed Thor Racing's VFCC. Everything seems fine except for the cars idle, when I started her up it idled at at 450. I did a quick run up the road and when i parked up the idle was still a bit low, it eventually settled at about 650.
Anyone know if this is normal. Thor tell me that the VFCC is pre-set for Supra when they post it, so I shouldn't have to twiddle the box myself. It just seems a little worrying.
Any advice or opinions are gratefully received.
Thanks

Cuth.

Did you disconnect the battery when doing the install ?

absolutely, everything by the book.

In that case, its nothing to worry about. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Its most likely just the ECU re-learning. If it hasn't settled down after about 20miles or so then it would need looking into.

Thanks Martin, just needed a bit of peace of mine. I used those plastic screw terminal blocks to connect the wires, which are not very long and only just reached (the wires that is), i was wondering if i'd made a poor connection somewhere. Off the subject a bit,

If i'd have paid for this i'd have wanted it done again, properly.

Not sure i'd be happy using terminal blocks on ECU wires as they are a bit mighty and none to kind to multi-conductor wires. May want to invest in some crimp connestors in the near future or a soldering iron if you happy using one.

Some alarm installers work on the premise that the customer will never see it so it doesn't matter, some take pride in their work http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Cuth, not being funny or anything but, you might want to edit your post with the location of that T box ?

You never know who is reading

was a bit foolish really, but to be honest i knew of someone whose 911 went missing without trace complete with tracker. There's only so many hiding places in a car, i guess it's just a matter of time before it's found if a pro goes at it. But that a side, Martin if your reading this could you clip the location from that post if it's possible, just in case.???
Thanks,

Cuth.
