Is it possible to deactivate the active spoiler from moving at the 50mph or whatever it is supposed to be and then wire it backwards so its down all the time and you push the button to bring it up instead?

Get what i mean?

Im sure all mk4 owners with the active spoiler will agree that it looks so much cooler down and what im trying to do is keep it down but i still want to be able to bring it back up if there is a car park or something where ground clearance etc isnt good.

Yes it can be done, and it has been done before but i've never looked at the circuit myself.

Think this is the circuit you're after Peter Betts manual spoiler circuit (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/spoiler6.gif), it lets you control your spoiler at the flick of a switch up or down.I've used this circuit my self to test my active spoiler motor and its replacement and it works a treat.

(With a smarmy grin) I have this via a Blits active spoiler controller.

or you could just turn the key to just before start up and press the down button that way it stays down untill you put it up

Errr, but IIRC as soon as you actually start the engine then the spoiler will retract.
