As I pick up my Supra tomorrow ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/buttrock.gif ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ?the first thing I intend to do is clean, clean and clean some more. The question I have is how do you peeps clean the engine bay and which method works best, I don't want to screw up the electrics by blasting it with water, or worse.

I've always covered all electrical bits in cling film and then use soapy water and a toothbrush stuck on the end of a bit of bamboo.

BUT....... That was in the days of the Mitsubishi FTO ... I havn't decided what to do with the Supra yet. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I'm sure there are special cleaning fluids you can get.

Don't use a pressure washer under the bonnet, it's a recipe for disaster.

Just use your favourite engine bay cleaner (Autoglym do a good one) and some soapy water. Then you can use a combination of waxes, metal polish and plastic cleaner to make the bits shiny.

Don't forget you can alway ask Alex at Serious performance what he recommends, (we have club discount with him) So far his advice has been excellent. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Good luck with cleaning your new toy and don't forget to post up some pictures when you get the car http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

This may sound a bit odd, but try petrol on the engine itself (yes really! ), & rinse with water. Don't let it dry naturally, use a cloth to wipe off the water.
