had 20G uprated 3G brakes installed in Feb 2005.
no track days, just daily runs.
crack found on latest servicing http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shocked.gif
3G has been very quick to respond, and have agreed to replace the discs.
But has any1 else experienced this problem?[IMG]

Thats interesting as i was considering these.

Paul Laing has had these on his car for a bit, wonder how he's getting on with them.

when they were on, as a whole - v good brakes, and considering the price, v reasonable.

I must at this point that the service I had from Envy in Newcastle (who fitted the brakes originally) and Hyeline Performance in Cardiff (who did the latest service) were 1st rate & very professional. 2 thumbs up to them both!! http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/buttrock.gif

Hi KP,

I must say that it's the first return/fault brake part we've ever had, and its the first rear disc 3G has had back too!

Make sure you send the faulty disc back so they can test it just incase they can improve on the design.

Regards,

Gaz.

Hi, mine have been fine, i only have the fronts but there used with Hawk race brake pads and not a problem. I also know the Envy car has them on, with no problems at all....must just be a one off

Glad that crack was found as that could have turned nasty.
Sounds like youve got good mechanics who spotted it.

We had a formula Renault single seater with had a disc failure and made a right mess of the whole suspension wheel etc that was down to drilled disc's cracking across the holes.
