Clips on the tailgate?

This is a shot of the near side as it joins the car, are these clips supposed to do anything? There is a matching pair on the otherside.

Those clips are for the Japanese Sat nav antenna. Was probably taken off by your importer as its a bit useless in this country.

That's that sorted then but why clips on both sides?

Another body question:
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? My front bumper is slightly out of alignment, it needs to go back about half a centimetre on the drivers side any chance of a picture or two on how to do this as I cant find any big bolts.

I have a feeling there could be an antenna on each side of the hatch with that system, but not 100%.
