Whilst fumbling around in the passenger foot well I happened across a black box tucked behind the dash, wording on the box reads:

BLITZ AS-C
active spoiler controller

Is this the reason I can drive my car around with the spoiler set to permanently down?

Never heard of one before, but there are some odd blitz items out there.

Can you get a pic ?

I,ve been looking for one of those I know they exist but never seen one
I wonder if Blitz still do them?

I take it I'm right in thinking this is how I can drive all day with my spoiler down regardless of speed?

Well I assume it must be, as stock they lower at 60mph and raise at 50mph. Personally I'd like mine Down all the down when moving.

Mine only retracts if I press the button, other than that its down 99% of the time.

Guess that must be responsible for your spoilers actions.

It looks like a third party box that Blitz have put their badge on (not unusual with tuners). It really wouldn't be a complicated circuit to do what it does, but looks like Blitz thought there was a (small) market for it.

Good find

Cuthbert

the active spoiler extends at 56 mph and automatically retracts at 43 mph
as stated in my uk owners manual
I would of thought the j spec cars would be the same

I think even though you were not far out ?I think it is important to get the facts correct

My speedo must be wrong then, or I accelerate & slow down too quickly to read it accurately

Hmmm, makes me wonder how accurate my speedo is, never read that part of the manual before, but mine definitely extends/retracts at speeds I mentioned before. Surely it can't be that far out?
