Speedo doesnt work

My speedo doesnt work an every so often it will go off the clock or go up an slowly come back down again. Any ideas how to fix it and also my warning light flashes on an off indicating that im parked up any ideas how to fix that aswell please

It is pretty defenitely the speedo converter. Need to remove the dash find the speedo converter and make good all its connections.

done that an couldnt find the speedo converter or the de restrictor so i thought that mayb it didnt come with one so had one fitted an it turned the car crazy an went strange an wouldnt drive but would make loud engine noises as the speedo had a mind of it own. im totally stumped

Errrr the car won't get through the SVA unless some MPH conversion has been done somewhere along the line. Are you the first UK owner ?

If you installed a converter as well as an existing converter then you would get the sort of symptoms you are describing.
