Hi there I'm new to this so I hope someone can help! Please?

I needed to remove the dash in my 93 mk4 jap spec supra and before putting dash back in i checked all connections and bulbs including a missing one from behind the rev counter not a problem.

But now I have a light on all the time the missing bulb was a orange triangle with '!' inside right in the top centre of the rev - counter, the only thing I can find out so far is it is some sort of master warning light.

I did check through the forum to see if it had been covered in the past but not knowing what it is couldn't find anything to help so sorry if its been covered already.

Yep, that's the master warning light.

Do you have the handbrake on still or any of the doors\hatch open ?

Also are any of the other warning lights on as well ?

no doors and hatch all closed handbrake off and no other warning lights.

But when I first got the car there was a light that told there was a bulb not working lit. the car has had 2 of the break lights turned into fogs on separate switch just taken a closer look at the rear lights and I have discovered that the cables have been cut and wrapped in tape and left and a new cable leads from light to who knows where??!

Take a look at this link

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/peter.betts/supra/TechTips/fog_lamp.htm

This is the best way to wire up the rear lights for a foglight, and you should not get back an error.
