If you push your car (around bends) then you (your arse) might slide on the leather so, you have to hold onto the steering wheel more http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

One of the main reasons I switched mine out.

I tend to drive mine around corners, lol http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Completely true though, arse sliding can be a problem. The steering wheel tends to become more something to hang on to rather than steer with.

Although there does seem to be a few cons towards the leather seats, i dont think id ever switch them to cloth, or even alacantara. ive longed to sink into a comfy, leather caressed bucket seat for years n now i can! although they do get red hot in the sun, n freezin in the cold, and they are slippy, they just feel soooo good!
plus, im too scared to push the car hard round bends yet, so my toodling round the corners doesnt seem to slip me out of the seat!

Perhaps Toyota designed the slippy leather seats as a safety feature to slow people down.... http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Personally Clayton I'd buy a set of recaros, in leather if you wish. They'll give much better support & will probably cost the same as the std leathers.

not to mention the weight saving of going with the recaros..

stock supra drivers seat is 24kgs and the passenger 19kgs

Hello mate I have leather seats not the original ones though they have been retrimmed in oyster leather an i have no problems, they are white so they dont get really hot in the summer, even when i leave the roof off they stay fairly cool an I dont have a problem with slipping either.

Only heard good things about them.

Think a seat like this is a must if you really push your car or do lots of track days (probably not quite so important for the drag strip http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif )
