Each seat is held in by five bolts. Remove the plastic covers from each end of the runners, unbolt, disconnect any wires and away you go.

They are heavy, particularly the drivers seat with all the electric motors.

Been up to Pauls in Enfield today to pick up seats, i normally moan like hell about the traffic on the south wales m4 corridor but after suffering the m25n. up and down, i will whistle my way to work in future. just fitted my beautiful black leathers and am now looking forward to a good slide up over the mountains.
cheers boys.

would removing the seats for some much lighter racing seats make a difference on acceleration then does it warrant the hassle an cost of doing so aswell

The difference in weight would have a negligable effect on acceleration. I suspect you'd need to lose around 100-200kg to notice a big difference, that would mean losing a few (read-alot) things or swapping for lighter parts - ???
