I,ve posted this up because of the interest in Chris Wilson,s intercooler
over the past year or so

The only down side I can think of is that Chris,s intercooler is slightly heavier than stock but you would expect this as the stock intercooler is
half plastic, while Chris,s is all alloy

I think you can see by the pictures above that the quality of the new intercooler is also very good too

I fitted this in a couple of hours and I was taking my time

totally happy with the intercooler and the service from Chris Wilson

Well done Rob, they are very nice. I was likewise very happy with mine as you know, have you also noticed an improvement in prolonged use?

I,ve only had the intercooler on a week but the car just feels like it accelerates more smoothly
One of my little hobbies is racing motor bikes down the local errr
race track that backs on to my house http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and I,m giving them even more problems now http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/devil.gif

Quote[/b] ]an insurance friendly one.

I must admit I wasn,t thinking about the insurance
one of the main reasons I decided on this intercooler was that I can keep my active spoiler. one of the problems with the front mounted one is it gets in the way of that working

Had my Chris Wilson intercooler on the car for two years now and all's well. Excellent quality and service.

As Martin says, insurance friendly ie: no extra as it's a direct replacement into stock location. http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

When I removed my stock intercooler to fit my HKS FMIC, looking at your photos, it was in MUCH worse condition that yours. In the centre area of mine there were no fins left at all!

Heres mine that was very rough looking ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/shocked.gif

You'll find the extra weight will be due to the endtanks not being plastic like the OE one Rob, the plus side is this adds to overall metal mass and so helps with better heat dissipation and less heatsoak ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I believe Chris charges more around the 600 mark these days for them.

steve I think yours was worse than mine ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

and I did notice the toyota one was half plastic the only thing on the car that I think looks cheep (BLoody bird flu again http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/outahere.gif
