Hi, you fix a problem then another one appears.. Finally got my headunit etc fited to today at S&Rs but for some reason the doors dont unlock with the imobi.. I can get out the car, press the button and it'll alarm and lock the doors but press it again & the alarm goes off but the doors stay locked.. But if i try and use the key i can open and lock it.. Well i asked the guy about it and he says he hasnt touched anythin he shouldnt have. Hes been fittin headunits an dealin with electrics for years so i kinda believe him!

Ideas? ?http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/help.gif

Makes you wonder though, he might not have touched anything intentially but realisticly it has to be something in condjuction with what he was doing, I mean it was all working before and now not..............very strange, but I have no real valid info for you here, Im just here to speculate and discuss, lol http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Yer i know it does make you wonder.. He did have to re-wire all the speakers in the car so he would of had to remove both door pannels! Ill just have to take it back to the people who fitted my imobi tomorrow..

Mate if he has been in the door panels, then I would be pointing the figure directly at them. There might be a loose wire somewhere........

If it worked when it went in and it doesn't now then they should sort it. Strong possibility they have left something unplugged in the door or caught a wire.

i am with martin on this one i had the central locking problem on my car, it went in for the e-manage and then the doors did not lock or unlock with the key or key fob after many hours tracing wires found nothing, then martin told me about the anti theft ecu which was positioned passenger kick panel did not find it but whilst looking around there was a conecter block loose put it back in came out all doors working, so it was when the ecu got fitted it got knocked http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/buttrock.gif

Well just an update to end the thread.. Took it to see Andy at RSE and it took them '2hrs' to find what was wrong and it turns out that the people at S&Rs had taken the earth off whilst messing around with my head unit.. They also cut a wire they shouldnt have and tried to clip it back together so it was a dodgy connection in the end... RSE Charged me 2hours work, ?105 inc vat.
