My Supra has after-market air horns fitted and there's a little box of tricks mounted next to the battery which drives the air horns. I noticed today that the mounting bracket is terrible. It's a thin bit of metal and it's only mounted at one end. Check this out....

You can see the right hand side of the black box is not connected to anything. This means that it rattles around inside there pretty good. My question is .... can anyone think of a better way of mounting this, or can anyone suggest a way to get a better bracket made up?

Also, do you like all my dodgy wiring? Nice scotch-blok there as well on the headlight. Acres of extra wiring all tucked up under there as well. I tell you, the electrics on my car are a work of art! http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I was really disappointed with the pathetic sound of the standard horn on my car, and to rectify it I simply fitted a replacement horn cannibalised from another car (I seem to recall it was a fiat). A quick and cheap solution to my embarrassing emmissions!!

There starting to get to that age now where they have been passed through a few hands and consequently people cant help but to multiply the amount of wiring..... http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/spank.gif

If I'm honest it sound like a very large cow farting the most enormous follow-through fart.

And the worse bit is that when you take you hand off the horn it doesn't just stop. It sort of fades away, as if the farting cow has suddenly accelerated off into the distance. I'm fairly embarrassed to use it.

It is loud though so I guess it serves the purpose. There's actually two horns mounted on the car. One where the normal horn goes and the other beneath it in front of the radiator. It's like a cow farting symphony.....

So has anyone got a sensible suggestion for making up a fairly solid mounting bracket wich I can bolt the "box of tricks" to?

yes you can make something out on 1mm s/s use a bender and shape it to the shape you want it, drill holes and fix into position simple http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biglaugh.gif
