Hello All,

I have a JDM '98 VVTi Supra with active suspension (REAS Suspension System I believe its called) & I'm thinking of replacing it with HKS Hypermax coilovers RS. However, I'm concerned about disabling the active suspension in regards to having interface issues.

Has anyone ever worked with this suspension system before in terms of modifying it or disabling it altogether? Any advice, suggestions, etc will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Ryan

Hi, Sorry I cant help with your query but Im quite interested in this REAS suspension. How does this work on the Supra and what exactly does it do ? Do you have any controls for this system via the cockpit ?

Im curious as I have never been aware of this on the Supra, and am wondering the easy way to determin if a Supra has one for future Supra viewings ?

Thanks Peter Sharp - Good Info!!!

Does anybody know the best way to modify this system. Is it better to replace the REAS with coilovers?

Now my question to all - in my interperatation of this passage - I can understand why you cannot use coilovers on cars with this setup, but i can't see why you can't replace the factory springs with some lowere stiffer springs to give it an extra edge in handling and that aggressive lowered stance.

It says it there mate........;)
