If you ever have the misfortune of having to come across EC Regulation 261/2004 dont build you hopes up.
This is the fantastic regulation that the EC have thought up to compensate you if your low cost / budget airline pi**es all over you and does what the hell it likes.
Beware you dont get fogged off with this Regulation when your budget airline (GLOBESPAN-on my occassion) dumps you in some foreign airport at some godforsaken time in the morning,when of course no self respecting airline stall are up and about, when no public transport is operating and you have no option but to hire a private cab, only to find out that the hotel, operate a extremely late checkin fee !!
But according to GLOBESPAN staff - dont worry sir, fill in EC regulation form261/2004 and you will be compensated for all additional costs and EVEN be reimbursed for the section of your flight that we made up a complete cockup off.
