Creaking / noise?

Hi everyone, not too sure if this is the place to post this, but on a trip back from London today, after open roads for a while nice hot sun, got stuck in traffic! :( not uncommon but i noticed when creeping in traffic 1st gear/2nd gear pull away there is a creaking noise coming from the car, only for a couple of seconds before i gain speed, also juddering almost like the wheels are slipping on the floor then re-gripping, this only happen after a bit of open road from a cold start or round town no problems ?! confused or what any ideas? or not too worry?

Could be the engine mounts....

Unlikely engine mounts IMO, when they go they tend to knock as the engine shifts.

I think its probably suspension\sub-frame related but is very hard to tell from that description where exactly. Think you will need to get the car on a ramp and check condition of all the bushes and tightness of mounting bolts etc, as the first step.
