OK, just managed to locate the info I was trying to find earlier.
Take a look at:

As a first step I would check at the active spoiler ECU plug that there is continuity between pins 14 & 16 when the spoiler is up and an open circuit between 15 & 14 , 15 & 16.
Then when the spoiler is down there should be continuity between 14 & 15 and no connection to the other pins.
