This Howto is intended to be a guide to changing the spark plugs on a Twin Turbo Supra

Tools & equipment need:

6 x spark plugs
Allen key - 5mm
Torque Wrench (not essential, but preferable)
Spark plug socket head
Socket wrench
Small wrench extension bar (~3&quot
Copper grease

Firstly, with reference to the following picture, remove the bolts marked using the allen key. Remove the oil filler cap & then remove the plastic cam cover:

You will now be able to see the coil packs & their associated cables.
Replace the oil filler cap.
Remove the 2 PCV hoses marked in the next picture. It is a good idea at this point to replace these for new ones as the originals may well be quite old & brittle.
Now undo the retaining clips which hold the wires to the coil packs in place (marked in picture) & move them to the side, there will be 3 sets of 2 clips:

Undo the connectors to the coil packs, there are 6:

You should now be able to move the coil pack wires fully out of the way & to the side.
Undo the bolts holding the coil packs in place, 2 each end of each coil pack - 3 coil packs:

Remove the coil packs taking note of their orientation.
You will now be able to access the spark plugs.
Remove the spark plugs using the socket wrench, extension bar & spark plug socket head.
Fit the new spark plugs, smearing a little copper grease on the threads of the plugs. Torque the plugs to 13ftIb
If you don't have a torque wrench, tighten the plugs up until you feel the point of resistance (i.e. where the thread starts to tighten), then give them a 1/4 turn.

Refit the coil packs & their bolts, reconnect the cables to the coil packs & locate the cables into their retainers.
Fit the new PCV hoses, replace the plastic cam cover & refit the bolts holding it in place.
