Found this interesting demo software.

http://www.performancetrends.com/pro...zerProV3.3.exe

Allows you to change things like turbo charger specs, valve diameter and angles, piston bore and stroke, etc and then see the results.

These engine simulation programs have been around for donkeys years but to get any real data you have to input soooo much information it goes beyond 'having a fiddle' to full-on 'sit down with a cup of tea and a full pack of chocolate hob-nobs'.

You might think that it will 'give you an idea' but you've only got to change something you'd think was relatively insignificant like going up a degree or two on duration and the figures can go crazy.

Very interesting though nontheless.

Been playing with this since I saw it on SF. Great tool, good fun.

Have you got any Supra-specific values for it? Any idea how to unlock it eirther?

Martin,

Where abouts are the 'hidden files' to stop you reinstalling it after it has expired?

Thanks

No idea, as haven't used it that much.

But my guess would be an entry in the registry.

Hi Guys,

I'm using version 3 and haven't bothered with the 3.3demo.

Does the text file need to be inserted into a certain folder so that all the specs can simply be uploaded by choosing that file in the engine library?

Any pointers here would be much appreciated.

Regards

Dan

editted: Just remembered why I never bothered with this later version..... did you manage to unlock any of the "fixed/demo" specs such as the Buick cyl heads?

Cheers

IMO they are fun, but that's where their usefulness ends. There are better programmes, but they cost a packet. Some suspension apps though are excellent. Adams for example.
