Default Remove The OEM Air Box And Headlights.

All you need to remove the headlights and stock air box is a 10mm socket and ratchet, philips and flathead screwdriver.
I find it easier to remove the nuts and bolt first and move out the headlight a little. This will make it easier to get to some of the connections.
You’ll need to remove the stock air box, presuming you’re still using this.

In order to allow the air box to be removed, the top intercooler pipe needs to be disconnected. This is done by undoing the jubilee clip from either end of it and pulling the pipe off. I found it easier to twist the pipe as I pulled.

Once the pipe has been removed it’s a good idea to cover the exposed pipes up to stop any foreign objects from getting into them. You’ll now be able o undo the other two clips that hold the pipe work from the top of the turbos to the air box. It should look like this:

If you pull the two metal clips on the front of the air box towards the headlight, it will lift up to reveal the air filter. You should now be able to see all the bolts that need removing in order to remove the air box, shown in the pictures below:

The last bolt is almost under the pipe work:

You can now gain access to all of the headlight connections.

Time to remove the headlights.

First off we need to remove the one 10mm bolt (or 5mm allen head in my case):

Then we need to remove the two 10mm nuts seen on the left of the below picture:

If you can squeeze you’re hand down the side of the battery, then you should be able to get to the lightbub connections, if not, try moving the headlight away from the engine a little to allow you to gain easier access. If you still can’t quite manage, then you can use a flat headed screwdriver to push the back of the wiring loom clip down, but please be very careful and remember NOT to pull the clip off by the wires!
There are three clips you need to get to (four if you have a UK spec)
First is the sidelight/fog light:
Loom side:

Headlight side:

Next is the dipped beam.

Finally is the main beam.

Headlight side:

If you have a UK/Euro spec then you have one more to disconnect, the headlight adjuster.

Headlight side:

The headlight is now free to be removed, go careful with the paintwork though.
If you have any questions please feel free to post up in the General Supra Chat
