Gents,

Will a turbo engine make more power at 11.5 AFR than 12.5 AFR?

I assume it will run a bit cooler with richer AFR?

Richer does equal lower temps but at the expense of power.

This is what one guy posted in the states :-

My A/F's are 14.7:1 until 150kpa, dropping to 13:1 until 170 kpa, 12.2:1 until 200 kpa and 11.5~11.8:1 from there on up.

I have not tried running this lean on mine but if everything like temp and knock is OK no reason why it shouldn`t work.

If I remember correctly optimum power is around 12.5AFR.

it depends.

my understanding is leaner makes more power (obviously to a certain extent), but running leaner increases the chance to detonate. its a fine balance, depends on temps etc

This is my understanding as well, but have to admit this tuning stuff is all resonably new to me http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
