The car that i'm currently breaking has the auto gearbox oil cooler in the nearside air duct.

I'm thinking of transferring this on to my car (manual) and using it as a engine oil cooler, along with the relevant sandwich plate and thermostat.

Any reason why this may not be suitable ?

I'm guessing that i may have to use better connecting hoses as the engine oil may be under higher pressure than the auto box oil. But other than that i can't see any reason not to do this.

Yes, relatively it's about the size of a teabag. Not to mention the pipe bores are far too small.

It needs to be something a little more substantial to cool 6 litres of oil thats constantly getting fried I'm afraid chap.

Cheers, will do this at some point.

I just liked the opportunity of having something stock looking and also the fact that it was readily available for me.
