Ok this might be a really stupid question, but could you run a Supra with different sized twin turbos?
Say a bigger 1st turbo and a smaller 2nd?
Not saying I would want to, but is it possible?

Do a search on tractor pulling and compound turbocharging. It's possible, but not in the simple way I suspect you are thinking of it, ie, 2 turbos in parallel, one big, one small.

(lol at Tractor pulling!http://www.mkivsupra.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif I will have a search on compound turbocharging.

Doesn't the RX-7 use this? 1 small 1 large.

No, the FD model RX-7 sequential turbos are exactly the same size. Common mistake though, dunno how the yth started.

Ahh ok - I didn't believe it when I first heard it but so many people said it!
You could , but you would not want to . The smaller vs bigger will create uneven backpressure in the manifold , that may lead to different loading on the crank . It sounds liek a myth , but ive read up on it , and how bad it is to run say a 6 cyl car on 5 cyl for longer periods . This would be simmilar .
A couple of blokes in OZ did this last year. There was a thread on Supraforums but I can't find it...
